Sound On

"HORUS is a watch brand for the explorers,
the dreamers, and the doers — built to withstand the test of time, powered by the sun, and made for adventure."
HORUS is a fictional watch brand developed as part of my graduation project for Vancouver Film School. The concept originated from a desire to explore the theme of time—an idea naturally embodied by a watch brand. What began as “a story about time” evolved into a comprehensive marketing campaign centred around the idea of traversing through time.
My responsibilities included naming the brand, defining the brand strategy, identifying the target audience, developing the visual identity, and producing a final motion graphic as the primary advertising piece. The result is a dynamic and engaging project that reflects both strategic thinking and creative exploration, where I had so much fun.
Target Audience

Horus is inspired by the Egyptian god of the sun, symbolizing power, vision, and the passage of time. The name also cleverly functions as an anagram of "hours" reinforcing the brand's core connection to timekeeping.
The name was developed after carefully defining the target audience and shaping the brand's personality. As a watch brand, the concept naturally began with the idea of a journey through time. This evolved into the brand’s central theme and campaign slogan: "Traverse Through Time."
It reflects not just the function of a watch, but an experience—elegantly connecting history, culture, and an independent personality.
Target Audience

The colour palette is inspired by the universe, and this celestial theme extends to the brand’s visual language through the use of grainy textures, which enhance the brand pattern and reinforce its connection to the universe.

Horus isn’t just a timepiece; it’s a symbol of independence, curiosity, and living intentionally.
